For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ASHES. Residue from fires used for cooking and for heating buildings.
CITY COLLECTION SERVICE. The refuse and building waste collection service provided by the city, its agents, employees or contractors, and shall include refuse collection by haulers under contract with the city.
COLLECTION DISTRICT. The area within which all refuse and building waste shall be collected by use of the city collection service, and is defined as being that area within the corporate boundaries of the city.
COMBUSTIBLE RUBBISH. Other materials of a combustible nature.
GARBAGE. Includes only organic refuse from the handling of any animals, meats, fish, fowl, fruits, vegetable or food, except dishwater and waste water.
NON-COMBUSTIBLE RUBBISH. Any and all waste or rubbish which is not garbage or combustible rubbish, and shall include such items as metals, tin cans, bottles, crockery and other mineral objects.
REFUSE. Garbage, non-combustible rubbish, combustible rubbish and ashes.
