For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CURRENT SERVICE. One or more of the following:
(1) Removal of snow, ice, dirt and refuse from sidewalks;
(2) Eliminate weeds and cut grass on private property and on non-traveled portions of abutting streets;
(3) Remove or eliminate public health or safety hazards from private property;
(4) Repair abutting sidewalks;
(5) Street sprinkling, street flushing, light street oiling or other dust treatment of streets;
(6) Trimming and care of trees and removal of unsound trees from public streets or private property; and/or
(7) The operation of a street lighting system.
