In the performance of official duties public officials shall act for the benefit of the city. The term “public official,” as used in this Chapter 33, includes elected officials (the City Council and the Mayor), appointed officials (persons that serve on city boards, committees, and commissions, including the Charter Commission and the Port Authority), and city employees.
