Except as may be provided otherwise by State law, the Codified Ordinances or other ordinances of Council, all taxes, fines, special assessments, license fees and other money due to the Town shall be collected by and paid to the Treasurer, who shall promptly deposit such money to the credit of the Town in such depository as may be designated by ordinance, resolution or order of Council.
