(a) The office of Building Official is hereby established. The Building Official shall be appointed or designated by the Town Manager, subject to the authority of Council to designate an elective officer of the Town to serve ex officio as Building Official.
(b) The provisions of Part Seventeen - Building and Housing Code shall be administered and enforced by the Building Official, with the cooperation of the Fire Chief and the Chief of Police.
