The Mayor shall be the chief executive officer of the Town and shall have the powers and perform the duties prescribed by State law, the Codified Ordinances and other ordinances and resolutions of Council, and he shall see that the ordinances, orders, bylaws, acts, resolutions, rules and regulations of Council are faithfully executed. The Mayor shall have control of the police force; and he shall, from time to time, recommend to Council such measures as he may deem necessary for the welfare of the Town.
