The Chief of Police or a police officer designated by him shall attend all regular meetings and, unless excused by the Mayor, each special of Council in the capacity of sergeant at arms. The sergeant at arms shall maintain order in the Council Chamber and the area adjacent thereto, and shall execute all orders given him by the presiding officer of Council.
