The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be appointed by resolution of Council upon recommendation of the Mayor, and shall serve at the will and pleasure of the Council for a term which shall not extend beyond the term of the Council appointing him or her. Council shall set compensation for the Judge of the Municipal Court, which shall be in no way be associated with or dependent upon fines or fees imposed or collected, and may, from time to time, adjust such compensation.
