137.03 COMPENSATION.

The Fire Chief, assistant Fire Chief and members of the Fire Department shall receive no salary or compensation as such, but shall be paid by the Town a reasonable compensation for time and service actually expended in protecting property within the Town from fires, conflagrations, riots or other work properly within the scope of their duties. Such compensation shall from time to time be fixed by Council
