135.02 APPOINTMENT.

The Chief of Police and all police officers of the Town shall be appointed by the Council and they shall serve at the will and pleasure of Council; provided, that this section shall not be construed so as to prohibit the Mayor from appointing special police officers whenever he deems it necessary, as provided in West Virginia Code 8-10-1.
