Failure to comply with the requirements of this chapter may result in a fine of up to two hundred ninety nine dollars ($299.00) for each occurrence. If such assessment is not paid within thirty (30) days of notification, the charge will become an assessment upon a lien against the property of the sign owner and will be certified as an assessment against the property.
