A. Property owners shall be held liable for payment of their sewer service and garbage disposal charges for self-occupied homes. Property owners shall be held liable for payment of sewer service and garbage disposal charges for a minimum of eight (8) months after a home is left vacant.
B. Property owners of rental units have a financial interest in said units through ownership and shall be held liable for the payment of sewer service and garbage disposal charges, should the charges not be paid by the renter.
C. Property owners either occupying or renting out buildings for business purposes, shall be held liable for the payment of sewer service fees, garbage disposal to be provided by the property owner or renter from a private hauler.
D. Any property owner violating any of the provisions of this section, or failing or refusing to make payment of charges herein contained, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be punished as is provided by law. (Ord. 97-04 §§ 2, 3, 4, 5)
