A. Compliance With State Traffic Manual: The traffic control and regulation of all public streets under the authority and control of the city shall be as posted, regulated or controlled by appropriate traffic control devices, signs or other regulatory devices or controls. All traffic control devices, signs or other regulatory devices shall conform with latest edition of the "Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices For Streets And Highways" as promulgated or adopted by the state of Utah.
B. City To Place Traffic Control Devices: The city shall place and maintain all traffic control devices required to implement the provisions of this chapter, and may place and maintain such additional traffic control devices as the city may deem necessary to regulate, guide or warn traffic under the ordinances of this city. In addition to such traffic control devices, the city is authorized, subject to provisions and limitations of this chapter and after a comprehensive study, to place and maintain appropriate signs or traffic markings to indicate standing or parking regulations.
C. Obedience To Traffic Signs And Signals: These traffic markings shall designate the zones and shall have the meanings herein set forth:
1. Red shall mean no stopping, standing or parking at any time.
2. Yellow, with the words "Restricted Zone" stenciled thereon, shall mean no stopping, standing or parking except as stated on the signs or markings giving notice thereof, except that this provision shall not apply on Sundays and legal holidays.
D. Obedience To Curb Markings And Posted Signs: When appropriate signs or traffic curb markings have been erected or placed according to this section, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any zone in violation of any of the provisions of this section. (Ord. 98-15 § 2)
