5.12.080: ALCOHOL TRAINING AND EDUCATION SEMINAR:
   A.   Certificate Of Completion Required: No person shall be granted an alcohol business license unless that person shall show certificates granted by the Utah division of alcoholism and drugs that each employee of the business engaging in the serving, selling or furnishing of alcohol has completed the alcohol training and education seminar as required in Utah Code Annotated sections 32B-5-403 and 62A-15-401.
   B.   Off Premises Beer Retailer: Any individual who sells or directly supervises the sale of beer to a patron for consumption off the premises shall be required to complete an alcohol training and education seminar. The individual shall complete an alcohol training and education seminar within thirty (30) days of the day on which the individual becomes staff of an off premises beer retailer. It shall be required for all off premises beer retailers to have a valid record that the individual completed an alcohol training and education seminar. The local authority may immediately suspend the license of an off premises beer retailer that allows staff to directly supervise the sale of beer or to sell beer to a patron without having a valid record that the individual completed alcohol training as required in Utah Code Annotated sections 32B-5-403 and 62A-15-401.
