§ 52.24 CLERK-TREASURER TO COLLECT FUNDS, REPORT.
   The Town Clerk-Treasurer shall act as Clerk-Treasurer of the Town Municipal Water Department, and he or she shall collect and receipt for all water rents and place all money collected to the credit of the town, and her or she shall report in writing to the Town Council, and at the first regular meeting in each year, all receipts and disbursements of said Water Department. Whenever permission of the town is required at any time the Town Council is not in session, written permission of the Town Clerk- Treasurer shall be deemed sufficient until such time as said Council shall meet and approve his or her act and shall constitute full and complete permission when the records shall show such approval, and all reports required to be made in writing to the Town Council shall be deemed to be made when filed with the Clerk-Treasurer and shall operate as a compliance with this section.
