Crossings shall be laid as shown on plans. The crossing stones shall be not less than three feet nor more than six feet in length and laid one foot apart or as ordered. The ends of the crossing stones shall be squared and hammer-dressed so as to form joints not exceeding one-fourth inch to their full depth and width. The crossing stones are to be bedded on fine, sharp sand, the bottom surface of said sand to be level with the surface of the sand in which the paving blocks are imbedded. The space between the walk stones and for one and one-half feet on each side shall be bouldered as specified by the Town Council or as set out in the plans.
