(A) The Town Marshal may appoint, with the approval of the Town Council, deputy marshals as needed to effectively execute the orders of this Council and enforce the ordinances of the town, and such Deputies as appointed shall possess the powers of and be subject to the liabilities to the same extent as the Town Marshal. The Town Marshal may appoint, with the approval of the Town Council, not more than two full-time Deputy Marshals and not more than three part-time Deputy Marshals.
(B) The Deputy Marshals shall receive their assignment of duties directly from the Town Council, and the duties may be changed from time to time as the situation warrants. The duties to be established for the Deputy Marshals shall be established by resolution of the Council. The Council reserves the right to regulate the amount of bond, compensation and term of service of any such Deputy so appointed, and such amount of bond, compensation and term of service shall be established by resolution of the Council, and the resolution shall be considered as the contract between the parties.
