One set of approved construction documents shall be retained by the city for a period of not less than one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of completion of the permitted work, and thereafter in accordance with the Utah government records access and management act, as set forth in Utah Code Annotated section 63G-2-101 et seq., as amended. One set of approved construction documents shall be returned to the applicant and kept at the site of work open for inspection by the building official or duly authorized representative until the completion of the project.
