9-1-140: TURNING ON WATER AFTER TURNED OFF UNLAWFUL:
It shall be unlawful for any person, after the water has been turned off from his premises for either nonpayment of water or sewer charges as provided in section 9-1-130 of this chapter or for a violation of the rules and regulations of the city, to turn the water on again. Such delinquent water user or violator shall be assessed and pay the amount as penalty and cost as determined by resolution of the city council for the shutting off and turning on of the water and all delinquent charges, before the water is turned on again. The water is to be turned on only by the city representative. In addition to payment, the violator shall also be required to make a new application and to add a new deposit as provided in this chapter. (2016 Code)
