Prior to commencement of any excavation work within the public right of way, an excavation permit shall be obtained from the city in accordance with the provisions of chapter 5 of this title. It shall be unlawful for any person to perform such excavation work within the public right of way without obtaining an excavation permit from the city. All excavation work shall comply with the standards and specifications adopted by the city and the provisions of chapter 5 of this title. (Ord. 2010-17, 5-4-2010)
