A. Required: Before entering on the duties of their respective offices, all appointed officers of the city shall take, subscribe and file the constitutional oath of office as set forth in article IV, section 10 of the Utah constitution.
B. Administered: The oath of office shall be administered by any judge, or notary public or the city recorder.
C. Filed: All oaths of office shall be filed with the city recorder, except that of the city recorder, which shall be filed with the city treasurer, pursuant to Utah Code Annotated section 52-1-4, as amended.
D. Failure To Comply: No official act of any officer shall be invalid for the reason that he or she failed to take the oath of office. (Ord. 2012-18, 5-15-2012)
