(A) Compensation of officers and expenses for officers and members of the Volunteer Fire Department shall be as follows:
(1) Salary per month.
(a) Chief: $600.
(b) Assistant Chief: $500.
(2) Expense compensation per run for Chief, Assistant Chief, and members:
(a) City run: $20.
(b) County run: $20.
(B) The City Council shall appropriate sufficient funds to pay compensation and expenses of the officers and members of the Volunteer Fire Department, as well as expenses of the Volunteer Fire Department such as fuel, equipment, and supplies, in accordance with annual budgetary requirements, policies, and procedures of the city.
