§ 35.16 APPOINTMENT OF THE FIRE CHIEF; ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF.
   The Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall appoint a qualified Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department, and an Assistant Chief who shall perform the duties of the Chief in the absence of the Chief.
