Any and all officers and employees of the county who may periodically engage in providing general law enforcement services to the city, pursuant to a cooperative agreement entered into between the city and county on or about July 1, 1979, shall be considered to be employees of the city solely for the purpose of giving the officers and employees official status in their acts when performing municipal functions pursuant to the agreement.
