§ 32.10 CONDUCTING TRIALS; MANNER.
All proceedings in the Town Court shall be conducted in the same manner as are trials in criminal cases before justices of the peace under the laws of the state and all persons tried before the Town Court shall have the same remedies and rights or appeal as now are or may hereafter be prescribed by law in criminal cases before justices of the peace. The Town Judge shall have the same right and authority to punish for contempt and maintain order in his or her court that justices of the peace have. But nothing in this section provided shall be construed as allowing a trial by jury for a violation or any municipal law. All proceedings for the violation of any municipal law, both civil and criminal, must be prosecuted in the name of the municipality.
