(A) The privileges granted by any and all licenses issued under this subchapter are suspended and inoperative and shall remain suspended and inoperative between the hour of 2:00 a.m. and the hour of 8:00 a.m. of the same day and it shall be unlawful for any licensee under this subchapter to sell and deliver beer or wine or permit the same to be drunk on its premises during said period.
(B) Such general suspension and inoperativeness shall not apply to the mere drinking of beer or wine in a room of a bona fide residence or a hotel licensed hereunder.
