(a) No person shall deface or alter any serial number, model designation or other identifying mark on any boat or motor as placed thereon by the manufacturing thereof, or remove, deface or alter the registered number of any watercraft as the same appears on the bow thereof, except by specific order of the Chief of the Ohio Division of Watercraft.
(b) No person shall purposely give false information concerning any boat or motor when apply for registration of such boat or motor. Any certificate issued which is found to be based on such false information is void. (ORC 1547.66)
