353.03 POSTING OF SIGNS REQUIRED; NONCOMPLIANCE.
   (a)   Within thirty days after the receipt of a notice designating fire zones, the owner or owners of property enumerated in Section 353.01 or any person having charge thereof shall post such signs and establish such markings as are directed by the Fire Inspector which shall clearly and distinctly indicate the designated fire zones and the prohibition of parking therein. The size, location and content of such signs and the nature and location of such markings shall be approved by the Chief of the Fire Department and the Chief of Police of the Village. No person shall fail to post such signs and establish such markings as required and within the time allowed by this section, unless the Fire Inspector shall, in writing, extend the time for compliance.
   (b)   In the event that such owner, owners or person having charge of such property shall fail to comply with the order, the Fire Inspector may cause such sign or signs to be posted and the owner, owners or person having charge of such property, failing, neglecting or refusing to comply shall be fined as hereinafter provided.    (c)   Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of two or more predicate motor vehicle or traffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
