§ 34.04  TOWN MANAGER AND DECLARED DISASTER.
   (A)   For the purposes of this amendment, DECLARED DISASTER shall mean declarations provided for in the Stafford Act: An Emergency Declaration or a Major Disaster Declaration, being U.S.C. §§ 5121 et seq., which authorizes the President of the United States of America to provide federal disaster assistance.
   (B)   For the purposes of this amendment, EMERGENCY DECLARATION shall mean, any occasion or instance when the President determines federal assistance is needed usually as a supplement to state and local efforts in providing emergency services.
   (C)   For the purposes of this amendment, MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION shall mean any natural catastrophe, including hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, wildfires, ice storms, snowstorms or explosions that the president believes has caused damage of severity that it is beyond the combined capabilities of state and local governments to respond.
   (D)   The Town Manager shall be paid overtime pay at the rate specified by the salary plan for each hour worked in excess of a regular workweek of 40 hours, when excess is in conjunction with or response to a declared disaster.
