§ 31.076 WORK PERFORMED ON JOB BASIS.
There are jobs listed in the classification plan which are performed on a job or quota basis and not strictly upon the number of hours that the worker utilizes in doing the work. Pay for the work accomplished in these classifications is for the accomplishment of the tasks assigned rather than the hours worked. The pay received however is based upon an hourly rate which is calculated on a 40-hour workweek. As an example, a worker who is performing on a job basis works 35 hours and receives $100.00 for his or her labor; he or she is paid at the rate of $2.50 an hour and the total remuneration is considered to be for 40 hours’ work. Management reserves the right to require any employee to perform, on the job, for 40 hours during the workweek, regardless of the time which is required to accomplish the regularly assigned task.
