(A) The areas of special flood hazard are those identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in its flood hazard boundary map or flood insurance study and flood insurance rate map(s), for the Town of Fairmont dated July 18, 1980, which with accompanying supporting data, and any revision thereto, including letters of map amendment or revision, are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter. The areas of special flood hazard also include those defined through standard engineering analysis for private developments or by governmental agencies, but which have not yet been incorporated in the FIRM. This includes detailed flood information generated as a requirement of § 150.27 of this chapter.
(B) In addition, upon annexation to the Town of Fairmont, or inclusion in the extraterritorial jurisdiction, the areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in its flood hazard boundary map or flood insurance study and flood insurance rate map(s) for unincorporated Robeson County, with accompanying maps and other supporting data, and any revision thereto, are adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this chapter.
