189.04 EXECUTION OF ORDERS; DISPOSITION OF FINES.
   In the execution of any process or order of the Municipal Court, the Chief of Police or his subordinates shall have the same powers, be governed by the same rules of law and subject to the same liabilities as the Sheriff of Marion County, West Virginia, in the performance of like services. All such fines, costs and penalties imposed by the Court shall be collected by the Chief of Police, and accounted for and paid by him to the Finance Director of the City.

   In each case tried in Municipal Court in which the defendant is convicted, there shall be imposed, in addition to such other costs, fines, forfeitures or penalties as may be allowed by law, costs in the amount of eight dollars ($8.00). No such costs shall be collected in advance.
