The Chief Building Code Official, or his designees, shall annually undertake an inspection of the registered vacant buildings to determine whether the properties are in compliance with the Property Maintenance Code, promulgated by the International Code Council, and adopted by the City of Fairmont as part of the State of West Virginia Building Code (Fairmont City Code Article 1709) (IPMC). All violations of the IPMC shall be dealt with by the Chief Building Code Official, or his designees in accordance with the provisions and procedures set forth in the IPMC.
