Upon notice from the Building Inspector that any grading, stripping, cutting, or filling of any site within the City is being prosecuted without a grading permit or contrary to the grading permit issued hereunder or in an unsafe or dangerous manner, such work shall be immediately stopped. The stop work order shall be in writing and shall be served upon the applicant or the owner of the site involved or to the owner’s agent or person doing the work and shall state the conditions under which work will be permitted to resume.
Each day that grading, stripping, cutting or filling continues after a stop work order has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
