(a) Council finds and determines that it is in the best interests of the City and its inhabitants that the Fairlawn City Health District unite with the Summit County General Health District pursuant to the provisions of Ohio R.C. 3709.07.
(b) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Chairman of the District Advisory Council of the Summit County General Health District and the Mayors of the Cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Tallmadge, Stow, Norton, Twinsburg and Macedonia, or such of them as may be authorized to join, to unite the Summit County Health District and the health districts of the uniting cities as the Summit County General Health District for the administration of health affairs and public health services for the combined district pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3709.07.
