1420.01   EDITION ADOPTED; PURPOSE.
   (a)   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the City that certain code known as the Residential Code of Ohio for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, as adopted, from time to time, by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, save and except such portions as may hereinafter be amended.
   (b)   Adoption of the Residential Code of Ohio referred to in subsection (a) hereof shall serve the purpose of establishing a code for the City containing rules and regulations for the erection, construction, alteration, repair, conversion, removal, demolition, height, area, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of nonindustrialized one-, two- and three-family dwellings and their accessory buildings.
   (c)   Adoption of Chapter 41 and Appendix G of the International Code Council Residential Building Code (2006 edition) for the regulation of swimming pools.
   (d)   Pursuant to 301.2 Climatic and Geographic Design Criteria of the Residential Code of Ohio, the criteria for Table 301.2 (1) shall be: Geographic and Design Standards: Topographic Effects, no; Frost Line 36 inches below finished grade. Winter Design Temperatures 6 degrees F; Flood Hazard, adopted June 23,1975 Panel Numbers 39781CO94E, 39781C113E, 39781C114E, 39781C157E, 39781C176E, 39781C177E; Map date, July 20, 2009; Air Freezing Index 1500 (BF-days); Mean annual temperature 50 degrees F.
