§ 52.069 TEST OF METERS.
   (A)   Any consumer may request the city to make a test of the accuracy of the meter then in use on his or her premises. These tests will be made by the city. The consumer shall be required to deposit with the city the sum of $25 for a meter having a capacity of 415 cfh or less. Larger meters shall be tested at actual total cost of the work.
   (B)   In the event a meter is found by testing to register incorrectly at 20% full capacity, by more than 2% fast or slow as stated in § 52.068, then another meter shall be substituted and the test deposit shall be refunded. Past gas bills shall be adjusted by refund or credit of the percentage of the amount of the gas bills for a period of not more than six months previous to the test as prescribed in this chapter.
   (C)   In the event that the meter is found to be within the limits and registered correctly, the consumer shall forfeit the test deposit and the funds shall be deposited in the gas operating funds of the city.
