§ 52.044 RATE SCHEDULE.
   (A)   There shall be, and there are established, monthly rates and charges for the sale of natural gas and for the use and service supplied by the natural gas distribution systems of the city based upon the amount of gas consumed as shown by the gas meters.
   (B)   (1)   The rates and charges are as follows:

Base rate for all gas delivered
$1.0104 per Mcf
 
      (2)   Commencing April 1, 2023, for Year 1 (and on the first day of April for each subsequent year) the monthly meter charges for gas meters (for each meter) and for each subsequent corresponding Year, shall be as follows:

   (C)   The gas charge is to be added to the above rates.
   (D)   The residential and commercial rates charged by the city for the sale of natural gas shall be increased by 5% effective September 1, 2010. The 5% increase in natural gas rates shall be calculated by using the natural gas rates in force on August 1, 2010 as required by this section of the municipal code. The adjusted rate is represented as follows:

$8.7146 x 5% = $0.44 per Mcf
 
   (E)   The residential and commercial rates charged by the city for the sale of natural gas shall be increased by 5% effective March 1, 2011.
   (F)   The utility rates charged by the city for the sale of natural gas to residential and commercial customers and the costs and expenses which are incurred by the city shall be evaluated in December, 2011, and in December in each and every year thereafter in order for the City Council to make a decision about any utility rate increases which may be advisable.
