§ 35.02 APPOINTMENTS.
   The Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, and may or may not be appointed from the members of the Fire Department. All other appointments or promotions within the Fire Department shall be made by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners as provided by law.
