The members of the Board shall have those qualifications as are now or may hereafter be required of them by law. Each member of the Board shall take an oath or affirmation of office and shall execute and deliver to the city a bond in the sum of $1,000 with sureties as the Mayor and Aldermen may approve, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of that office.
