A recreational fire shall be permitted within the restricted area, subject to the conditions and limitations contained herein:
(A) A recreational fire may only be set and maintained in a fire pit apparatus; or a portable fireplace.
(B) The recreational fire must be attended to and monitored at all times.
(C) Before a recreational fire is set, the property owner or his/her designee must have a means of extinguishing the fire available for immediate use. Such means of extinguishment shall either be a 4-A functional fire extinguisher a functional garden hose with a working and functional water spigot.
(D) The recreational fire must be extinguished on or before 11:00 p.m. No recreational fire is permitted between the hours of 11:00 p.m. through and including 7:00 a.m.
(E) Only the following material may be used for a recreational fire: untreated, unpainted, clean, seasoned, dry wood and manufactured fire logs. No construction materials may be used for a recreational fire. Propane and other similar gases may be burned as long as the portable fireplace device is rated for that type of fuel. However, a small amount of paper and/or brush may be used to start the fire as kindling. Logs cannot be longer than 24 inches for use for a recreational fire. All recreational fire material must be contained within either the fire pit apparatus or the portable fireplace.
