§ 117.10 INTERFERENCE WITH PUBLIC PROPERTY.
   No excavation shall be made in any street or alley or in any public street, or any water pipe, water main, fire hydrant, storm or sanitary sewer, or street lighting equipment be interfered with in any manner, except by permit of the Council or the head of the department of the city having the same under his or her jurisdiction. All excavations that may be made shall be filled by the person making the same and all sidewalks and street paving, water pipe, water main, fire hydrants or sanitary sewers or street lighting equipment that may be interfered with shall be by the person so interfering therewith restored to their former condition or to the altered condition as may be directed by the Council or by the head of the department having jurisdiction over the same.
