All drilling operations, equipping of wells, producing and marketing of oil and gas, plugging of wells and all material used and work done in connection with exploring for, producing and marketing petroleum products shall be in conformity with state and federal laws pertaining thereto, and if any of the provisions of this chapter conflict with state and federal law, this chapter shall be ineffective to that extent.
