It shall be lawful to operate a veterinary hospital, clinic or office licensed by the state under “The Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Practice Act”, being ILCS Ch. 225, Act 115, within the municipality in an area designated commercial by the City Zoning Board after registering with the City Clerk and obtaining a permit which shall be renewed every three years. To obtain a permit, the veterinarian practicing at the establishment must present his or her state license.
