(A) The City Council finds and declares that the present water filtration plant of the city is capable of supplying water to satisfy the needs of both the city and the New Hope Waterworks Corporation from and after the completion of improvements to the water transportation line between the city water filtration plant and the city limits and upon improvements to the filtration plant itself.
(B) Be it further ordained that the city amend the water purchase contract dated March 11, 1981 attached to and approved by Ordinance 1170 passed January 13, 1981 with the New Hope Waterworks Corporation to increase the quantity as may be required by the New Hope Waterworks Corporation from the city pursuant to the water purchase contract to a quantity not to exceed 2,000,000 gallons per month, subject to the completion of the improvements to the water filtration plant and transportation pipe between the plant and city limits of the city as aforesaid.
