§ 54.079 WATER RATE CHARGED FOR WATER SERVICE TO CITY SUBSCRIBERS.
   (A)   The rates and charges for the services of the water system of the city shall be based upon the amount of water furnished to each subscriber.
   (B)   The rate shall be as follows:
      (1)   Commencing August 1, 2022, for Year 1 (and on the first day of May for each subsequent year) the monthly meter charges for water meters (for each meter) and for each subsequent corresponding Year, shall be as follows:

      (3)   For bulk water purchasers, including, but not limited to, the Boyleston Waterworks Corporation, Jasper Waterworks Corporation and New Hope Waterworks Corporation, the rate shall be $3.50 per 1,000 gallons per month.
      (4)   The city shall have the authority to enter into water purchase contracts with bulk water purchasers which set future water rate increases based on the Consumer Price Index.
   (C)   The residential and commercial rates charged by the city for the sale of water shall be increased by 5% effective September 1, 2010. The 5% increase in water rates shall be calculated by using the water rates in force on August 1, 2010 as required by this section of the municipal code. The adjusted rate is represented as follows:

   (D)   The residential and commercial rates charged by the city for the sale of water shall be increased by 5% effective March 1, 2011.
   (E)   The utility rates charged by the city for the sale of water to residential and commercial customers, and the costs and expenses which are incurred by the city shall be evaluated in December, 2011, and in December in each and every year thereafter in order for the City Council to make a decision about any utility rate increases which may be advisable.
