A. Appointment; Term: The city treasurer shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council pursuant to Idaho Code title 50, chapter 2; and shall serve until he resigns or is removed according to Idaho Code section 50-206.
B. General Duties: The duties of the city treasurer shall be to serve as custodian of all monies belonging to the city and to fulfill all other responsibilities as designated in Idaho Code title 50, chapter 2. He shall keep a record of all outstanding bonds against the city showing the number, amount of each and to whom said bonds were issued; and when any bonds are purchased, paid or canceled, said record shall show that fact. In his annual report he shall describe particularly the bonds issued and sold during the year, and the term of the sale, with each and every item of expense thereof. (2015 Code)
