1187.01 PURPOSE.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide minimum standards to safeguard life, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the placement, size, quality of materials, construction, illumination, location and maintenance of all signs and sign structures. Specific safety and structural requirements and administrative provisions related to sign erection and sign permits are contained in the City Building Code and the Ohio Basic Building Code.
