§ 2.65.020 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE. An electronic sound, symbol, or process, attached to or logically associated with a contract or other record and executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the record. It is the electronic equivalent of a handwritten, wet, or manual signature on paper.
   ELECTRONICALLY SIGNED RECORD. A record, file, or document, including an ordinance or resolution, that has been electronically signed by means of an electronic signature and that is related to the conduct of the town's official business.
