§ 5.16.020 RETAIL, SERVICE, WHOLESALE, MANUFACTURING AND MISCELLANEOUS.
   (A)   (1)   Every person conducting, carrying on or maintaining a business consisting of selling at retail any goods, wares, merchandise or commodities, and any person conducting, carrying on or managing any of the following named businesses considered to be of a service nature, and other businesses or persons not listed which are considered to be of a service nature, and any person selling at wholesale, or by mail order, any goods, wares, merchandise or commodities, and any business conducting manufacturing, as defined in this Division I, and any business not specifically licensed by other provisions of this Division I shall pay an annual base license fee to be set by resolution of the Town Council, plus a fee based on the previous year’s gross receipts, which would include a combination of any or all of the titled businesses at a rate to be set by resolution of the Town Council.
   (B)   Service professions are considered to be the following:
      (1)   Alterations;
      (2)   Appliance repair;
      (3)   Artist;
      (4)   Auto painting;
      (5)   Auto repair service;
      (6)   Auto towing;
      (7)   Auto upholstering;
      (8)   Barber shop;
      (9)   Beauty shop;
      (10)   Bookkeeper or stenographer;
      (11)   Catering;
      (12)   Ceramics;
      (13)   Dressmaking;
      (14)   Janitorial service;
      (15)   Laundry;
      (16)   Machine shop;
      (17)   Music teachers;
      (18)   Newspapers;
      (19)   Tailors;
      (20)   Tree trimmers;
      (21)   Upholstering;
      (22)   Window cleaners; and
      (23)   Locksmith.
